  • “There’s no place like home!” In 2014 DATW just had to find one! Due to Ralph Wilson Stadium renovations the event was moved to the University at Buffalo. One month before the show date DATW learned the UB football field was unavailable as it needed to be resurfaced. So we packed our bags (and instruments) and moved to All High Stadium in the City of Buffalo, making it 3 stadiums in 1 year!
  • 2013 saw the first tie in the history of DATW. The Blue Devils & Carolina Crown score 95.850! With perfect weather, the corps at their peak, and a Tour of Champions Title on the line, WHAT A NIGHT!
  • We started DATW in 1997; the inaugural event was held North AmeriCare Park (Home of the Buffalo Bisons presently called Coca-Cola Field).
  • In 2001 we successfully brought the DCI World Championships to Buffalo (Ralph Wilson Stadium).
  • In 2001 we hosted a special “Showdown” contest between the 3 World Champion Corps of 2000 (The Cadets and Cavaliers who tied for the DCI World Championships, & DCA Syracuse Brigadiers )This is the 1st time in drum corps history 3 reigning world champion corps have competed in one contest.
  • We brought drum corps to the inner city by hosting three Open Class shows (2005, 2006 & 2008).
  • We have run 10 “Rhythm at the Rapids” events at Niagara Falls.
  • In 2008 we moved to our present home, Ralph Wilson Stadium.
  • Two DATWs have been held at UB’s football stadium (2003 & 2007).
  • Nine DATW’s have been held at the Bison’s stadium (1997-2002, 2004-2006).
  • In 2010, DATW held yet again another historic drum corps first for the activity; all four branches of the drum & bugle corps activity performed at the Ralph Wilson Stadium event (DCI, DCA, Alumni & Military (The US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps).
  • DATW has been able to provide free educational programming each and every year since its inception; host corps clinicians have included The Cadets, Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, Madison Scouts and Boston Crusaders to name a few. Master Class clinicians Anthony Miranda, Ray Bennett and Nick Angelis have also been featured.
